Recently, I've been inspired by vintage print patterns like the one I created above. It's a painting inspired by a vintage 1930's pattern. I am exploring patterns from different eras and regions hoping that these details will give my illustrations a little bit more depth and history.
Patterns can be more subtle like leaves or trees in a painting, I really want to incorporate these details in my current work.
Happy Friday, my daughter is home and can not wait to play in the grass in the backyard. Maybe we will find some patterns in nature to inspire us!
